Image Question:
I am not used to spicy food. What should I order in an Indian restaurant?

Answer:
Believe or not, I am not used to very spicy and rich food also. What I tend to do is order a simple chicken dish that contains tomatoes and a mixed vegetable preparation which may have a touch of cream for mildness. I also order a plain tandoori roti which has no spices or a plain basmati rice. Most good restaurants will tell you whether the dish is highly spiced and often the menu will describe the dishes in depth. If you find something hot, order a yogurt raita which will neutralize the heat of the chilli.
